Privacy policy

Hopadoo is a movement game for kids. We built it to collect as little as possible. This policy covers the game (hopadoo.app) and this website (hopadoo.com).
The game and the camera
- The webcam video is processed entirely on your device, in the browser. We never receive video, photos, body positions or any other camera data.
- The game has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and it loads no third-party scripts.
- We don't knowingly collect any personal information from children.
- The game downloads its own files and a pose-detection model. Those requests don't include anything about you.
Unlocking the game
If you buy the Family Unlock, the game sends your license key and a random device ID to our server once, to check the key and count devices. We store a scrambled (hashed) copy of the key, Paddle's ID for the purchase, the random device IDs and whether it's been refunded. We don't store names or email addresses on that server. Right after you pay, the game uses the purchase ID instead of the key, so the laptop you bought on unlocks straight away.
Buying through Paddle
Purchases are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your name, email, payment and billing details to process the order, under Paddle's privacy policy. Paddle shares your email address and order details with us so we can send your unlock link and help if something goes wrong. We never see your card details.
Emails
We send the unlock email you need after a purchase. If you sign up for news, we send occasional updates, and every email has an unsubscribe link. We use Zoho to send and store these emails and your address. Zoho's servers are in the United States.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or ad trackers. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent first and update this page. The website, the game and our license server are hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect them.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@hopadoo.com. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
